On the way back, you can wait for the bus at the entrance of Binggou Danxia Scenic Area. The bus also runs once an hour. You can return to Zhangye or get off at Qicai Danxia. If you plan to return to Zhangye city directly after visiting Binggou Danxia, you can leave your large luggage at Danxia Youth Hostel first. When returning, ask the bus driver to stop at the entrance of the Youth Hostel for a while, and you can get off to retrieve your luggage, and then continue to Zhangye. The fare from Binggou to Zhangye West Bus Station is 12 yuan.

As mentioned before, today I have to enter the Colorful Danxia Park twice to watch the sunrise. I got up at 6:30 and washed up. It was still dark. I arrived at the Danxia Scenic Area a little after 7 o'clock. As expected, I was lucky enough to get in. Although I didn't see the sunrise, the rising sunlight was very transparent. I took many satisfactory photos and was in a good mood!

9:00 We came out of Qicai Danxia and returned to Qinglv Inn for breakfast. Today's destination is to visit Binggou Danxia. The long-distance bus to Binggou Danxia runs about once an hour and passes by Lao Bai's house. Lao Bai and his wife stood on the road to help us stop the car, which touched IING...

9:50 We boarded a long-distance bus to Sunan. On the way, we passed the gate of Binggou Danxia Scenic Area. We got off here. Before getting off, it is best to ask the driver for the return bus time. It takes about 2-3 hours to visit Binggou Danxia.

10:30 We bought tickets for the Binggou Danxia Scenic Area online in advance, which was 10 yuan cheaper than buying tickets directly at the gate of the scenic area. There were not many people in the scenic area, so it was very convenient to exchange tickets.

Compared with Qicai Danxia, Binggou Danxia has a more majestic landform, a more magical shape and a more magnificent momentum. But what attracts me most about Binggou Danxia is that it was developed later and has fewer tourists, so you can stroll around and let your imagination run wild. However, when our car arrived at Service Area No. 1, the steps leading to the "Phantom of the Louvre" viewing point were already filled with tourists traveling during the National Day holiday.

We also found a place to stay among the crowd. I saw a long line of mountains with sparse white snow on their heads, looming in the distant sky. The air in the northwest did not have that kind of pure texture. The warm sunshine slowly sprinkled on the opposite mountain, and then slowly sprinkled on the castle-shaped Danxia. The surging National Day crowds flocked here for this Danxia called "Phantom of the Louvre".

Binggou Danxia Scenic Area is the most typical Danxia landform in China's arid areas. It is also one of the most complete and peculiarly shaped Danxia landforms in China.

Binggou Danxia is dominated by sandstone landform relics. It is the best-developed and largest geological and geomorphological relic of window-lattice palaces in China. After checking out early in the morning, we came to the nearby Binggou Danxia, which is a relatively niche attraction that tour groups generally don't visit. The ticket price including the scenic area bus is 54 yuan and the parking fee is 15 yuan.

It was all fate. Zhangye Sunan Binggou Danxia is not as famous as the Colorful Danxia, but I personally think it is more stunning than the Colorful Danxia, and the fee is cheaper, so it is worth a visit. It is best to go to Binggou Danxia in the afternoon, when the side backlighting is beautiful.

The most distinctive feature of Binggou Danxia is its shape. The external transportation of this scenic spot is quite inconvenient. You can take a bus to Sunan from Zhangye Bus Station and get off at Binggou Scenic Spot. For the return trip, you need to stop the bus at the entrance of the scenic spot at 4:10, 5:10, or 6:10, but you may encounter the situation where the bus does not stop.

Binggou Danxia is about shape, Qicai Danxia is about color. All kinds of forms are up to your imagination. If you have enough time, you can also walk around the scenic area and spend a whole day playing in it. This place may be more suitable for artists with rich imagination. Seeing the various "works" in nature with different shapes and forms, I don't know what kind of creative inspiration it will inspire them.

Binggou Danxia is located next to Danxia National Geopark, but Danxia National Geopark does not have a car to go there, so you can only charter a car to go there. Compared with the well-known Danxia National Geopark, Binggou Danxia is less popular. In fact, from the perspective of scenery, Binggou Danxia is not worse than Danxia National Geopark at all.



Since it is the off-season, there are not many people in the scenic area. Different from the colorful Danxia, the biggest feature of Binggou Danxia is that the shape of Danxia is more peculiar and the momentum is more magnificent. However, the steps are not easy to walk. The higher you go, the steeper it is. The wind on the mountain is also quite strong. It is not recommended for friends with poor physical strength to go up. However, there is a saying that goes: the higher you climb, the farther you can see. When you climb to the highest point of Danxia, you can see the snow-capped mountains looming in the distance. When I climbed up, there was no one around. The strong wind was blowing around, which was still a bit scary.

It is similar in style to Pingshan Lake Grand Canyon, with distinct features and is worth a visit. However, the colors are not bright, some walking paths are closed without explanation, and some scenic spots are not clearly marked. The most incredible thing is that nowadays, facial recognition and real-name authentication are required to visit the park. I wonder what the legal basis for the public security organs to make such a request is?

It is not as famous as the Seven-Colored Danxia, but its shape is actually more interesting than the Seven-Colored Danxia, and it is also worth seeing.

It's quite unique. If you have time, go there. You can visit Binggou Danxia in the morning and Qicai Danxia in the afternoon.

It is a newly built scenic spot, and unlike the Seven-Colored Danxia, it is not crowded with people. If the Seven-Colored Danxia is about "color", then the Binggou Danxia is about "shape".

There are many nice-looking Danxia landforms, but I don't think any of them are particularly outstanding. However, there are obviously fewer people coming here than the Seven-Colored Danxia, so it's not crowded and you can have a better time.

It was still light in the sky. When we said goodbye to Qicai Danxia and drove to Binggou Danxia, the scenic area was already closed. As usual, the task of calling the door to open sesame was given to the sweet-looking Li Ge with waxy beard. What was different from usual was that when I begged him, a car of young Taiwanese people drove up. So when I raised my western complex to the overall situation of united front, the lady at the door finally agreed to send another car for us.

Without the noise of other tourists, Binggou Danxia gave me a much better feeling than Qicai Danxia. Climbing up the steep slope, it was empty and silent, and quiet with a heartbeat. I quite like this photo taken at sunset. The official name for this place is Phantom of the Louvre, but I think it is more like the Parthenon at dusk, and it is complete with Jay Chou's "Love in BC". Well, it makes me look like I have been to Greece, but in fact I have only been to Xishuangbanna.

You can walk in the Danxia landforms and see these peculiar landforms at a closer distance. If you have good physical strength, you must climb to a high place and overlook these magical Danxia landforms from a distance. You can also see snow-capped mountains in the distance!

Many people have not been to Binggou Danxia. In fact, this attraction is very good. The main thing is to see the shape of the mountain, while Danxia Park is to see the colors. Any photo you take is like a painting.

There are a Xiao Xitian and Da Xitian scenic area. I think Xiao Xitian is beautiful. Da Xitian is also beautiful. They each have their own characteristics. You have to climb up and make efforts to reap the rewards. Just take a look at it. It's really magical.

Binggou Danxia is located in Sunan County, more than 50 kilometers away from Zhangye and more than 10 kilometers away from Qicai Danxia. It is mainly divided into two parts: Xiaoxitian and Daxitian. The scenic area is not large, and there are scenic area buses for pick-up and drop-off, but there are two high viewing platforms, and one or two hours is enough for the whole trip. However, I personally think that the scenery here is not outstanding in the Danxia landform, and people who are in a hurry can skip it.

How to say it, this place is covered by the glory of the colorful Danxia. If it is far away, it may form a system of its own. Here is the Danxia of the shape, which is divided into two parts, Daxitian and Xiaoxitian. Daxitian is represented by the Louvre Phantom, and Xiaoxitian is represented by Xuanwu Gate. In fact, Xiaoxitian is a bit bigger. Daxitian has nothing but the Louvre Phantom, and you basically have to return the same way. Xiaoxitian can basically see the whole without going to the top of the mountain. What impressed me most was that the Louvre Phantom in Daxitian was the weird background in Detective Di Renjie, and it still looks good now. And there are so many foreigners here, more than half of them are foreigners.

Binggou Danxia wins overall with its shape, so remember to use your imagination when you look at it.

The route is a single-line tour (one line in and one line out). First take the shuttle bus to the first point, and then take the battery car to drive inside after playing. The fourth point can be reached by walking back from the top of the mountain to the first point, which takes about 40 minutes; or you can take the electric car from the second and third points. We went down the mountain directly from the fourth point, took the electric car back to the first point, and then took the shuttle bus back to the gate. The reason for this is that we can use the drone to take a look. In the distance, the shape and color are compatible.

Compared with the nearby Zhangye Danxia Landform Scenic Area (also known as Colorful Danxia), the color of the Danxia here is relatively simple and does not change much, but the biggest feature is that the shape of the Danxia landform here is very unique, with various styles and a spectacular scale. The main feature is the "Destiny with Buddha" Danxia landform landscape. Moreover, this place was developed later, and compared with the Colorful Danxia, there are not many tourists, and it is less noisy, so you can enjoy the scenery quietly.

The Binggou Danxia Scenic Area has a typical palace-style Danxia landform with various styles of shapes. It is rare in the country and is quite magnificent.

Binggou Danxia Scenic Area has full WiFi coverage. The collision of modern traces in this natural wonder is very magical. It was already afternoon when we visited Binggou Danxia. The weather in Zhangye was cloudy that day, so sometimes the sun was bright and sometimes it was blocked. Here, the most famous are the "Phantom of the Louvre" and "Golden Toad Looking at the Clouds". The "Phantom of the Louvre" is a castle about 150 meters wide and 50 meters high, which is nearly 20 meters higher than the real Louvre. Of course, it is more spectacular and shocking to see it with your own eyes!

It and the Seven-Colored Danxia are two different landforms, the Seven-Colored Danxia is more colorful and the Binggou is more peculiar. A relatively primitive scenic spot, it is very large and you need to take a scenic bus to reach the two hiking routes of Daxitian and Xiaoxitian respectively. Each route is indeed quite long. Binggou Danxia Scenic Area is located in Zhangye Sunan Yugur Autonomous County. It is a natural scenic area dominated by red palace-shaped Danxia landforms. Compared with Zhangye Danxia Landform Scenic Area (also known as Colorful Danxia) not far away, the color of Danxia here is relatively simple and does not change much, but the biggest feature is that the shape of Danxia landform here is very unique, with various styles and a spectacular scale. Moreover, it was developed later, and compared with Colorful Danxia, there are not many tourists, and it is less noisy, so you can enjoy the scenery quietly.

The scenery is a bit average, maybe because I didn't go higher. Some individual attractions are OK. I don't know if it's because of the off-season, but I can't understand why there are no open toilets in the entire scenic area. The scenery is much worse than the Seven-Colored Danxia. If you have enough time, it doesn't matter if you go around, but if you are short of time, I still recommend going to the Seven-Colored Danxia.

A highly recommended place! If you have enough time, you must go to Binggou Danxia to experience a different Danxia! Unlike the rich and colorful colors of Qicai Danxia, Binggou Danxia mainly looks at the unique terrain. It is a geological and geomorphological relic with a well-developed and large-scale window-lattice palace in China. It is a "window-lattice palace-style Danxia" geology. The scenic area is divided into two main areas, Daxitian and Xiaoxitian. There are scenic area buses to connect (if time permits, you can also choose to walk slowly), but there are mountain climbing steps that need to be climbed by yourself. It is best for the elderly to prepare crutches and knee pads.

It is about 8 kilometers away from Qicai Town. It is also nice to pass through Sunan Highway, with different scenery. Buy tickets separately

Binggou Danxia is an important part of Zhangye Danxia National Geopark. It is mainly distributed in Sunan County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, which is known as the Yugu Flower Town. It is the most typical Danxia landform in China's arid areas, and it is also one of the most complete and peculiar Danxia landforms in China. Binggou Danxia is dominated by sandstone landform relics. It is the best developed and largest geological landform relics of window-lattice palace in China. It is the geological naming place of "window-lattice palace-style Danxia" and is rated as "the first window-lattice palace-style Danxia landform in China". Danxia cliffs, stone walls, stone pillars, peaks, hills and other landforms are widely distributed in the scenic area. They are sharp and straight, continuous and magnificent. Binggou Danxia is famous for its "magnificent and magical" and is known as "the first wonder in the world"; it has been rated as one of the "7 most beautiful Danxia landforms in China" and one of the "10 most magical geographical wonders in the world" by "China Geographic Magazine" and "National Geographic Magazine" of the United States.

Binggou Danxia is more than ten kilometers away from Danxia Town. There are road signs. Cars can only be parked in the parking lot outside the scenic area. The ticket price is 60 yuan (including sightseeing bus). The area inside the scenic area is very large, about more than ten kilometers are developed, and there are sightseeing buses rolling between scenic spots. The first scenic spot is Xiaoxitian, which has a 1-kilometer walking plank road and can go to the observation deck to see the scenery. The second scenic spot is Daxitian, which has a larger area, a two-kilometer plank road and a 2.5-kilometer road that require walking. Danxia is large in scale, magnificent, and the color is all red, with various shapes and forms.

Binggou Danxia and Qicai Danxia are not far from each other, and it takes half an hour to drive. Binggou Danxia is to see the peculiar shapes of Danxia landforms, which are different and lifelike after wind erosion. You need to take a scenic sightseeing bus to visit Xiaoxitian and Daxitian.

The colorful Danxia wins with its colors, while this place wins with its shapes. It is better to go there in the early morning.

My friends think it's not worth going here, but I think it's nice to stand on the top of the plank road and overlook the entire Danxia landform.

Whether in terms of fame or exposure on China-TravelNote, Qicai is better than Binggou, but after actually visiting both places, I feel that Binggou is more attractive. Binggou has a bit of Danxia + Yadan landform feeling, with strange peaks and rocks. You can use your imagination to fill in the blanks without the explanation signs of the scenic area. But the colorful pictographic stones are a bit far-fetched, and the Danxia landform is a bit monotonous due to the dry weather.

I went to see the sunrise early in the morning. The scenery of the sunrise was still great. I could see the snow-capped mountains in the distance. Although it didn't have the bright and rich colors of the colorful Danxia after the rain, the castle-like shape and the colors of the sunlight at sunrise were also worth seeing.

At first, I just wanted to see the real Danxia landform and didn’t have high hopes for the scenery because I didn’t see many decent photos online when I was planning the trip. But after seeing it in person, I still felt it was worth the trip, especially the Paradise Palace, which shocked me!

It's a bit cold in the morning, so bring a coat. The mountain has formed various strange shapes under the wind erosion for many years. It's worth visiting.

Most people go to the Colorful Danxia, but Binggou Danxia is also worth a visit. The gate is very distinctive, and it is eye-catching and integrated with the surrounding environment. You can take a bus from the gate, and the driver is very humorous. The entire scenic area is known to have full WIFI coverage. Some areas have no mobile phone signals, and there are WIFI signals, but it is not easy to open web pages. I especially like Binggou Danxia. The entrance looks very primitive. A narrow road was built at the entrance. There are wild weeds around. The road is not wide. Two people can walk side by side, but there is no problem before the trip. Only the plank road was built later, and there was not much damage to the surrounding environment. Songs are ringing throughout the scenic area. There are some popular songs about travel and dreams, most of which are melodious Tibetan songs. Listening to the songs, the steps of climbing the mountain have become brisk and pleasant.

Unlike the colorful Danxia, where the main attraction is the colors, the main attraction here is the changing shapes and contours. If you want to visit all of them, you need a certain amount of physical strength and time.

When I went there, the scenic area allowed driving in. Even so, it took me half a day to see the sights in a hurry. If I wanted to see it carefully, it would take a whole day. It is worth seeing.
